Bio-remodelling Injections: The treatment that took Australia by storm!

March 03, 2024

Bio-remodelling is what we have to call this treatment due to the regulations. However, we are allow to call the serum by its name. Profhilo Haenkenium Serum is used in conjunction with the Bio-remodelling injectable treatment.

What is this relatively new treatment to land in Australia? How is it different to other skin injection treatments?

It is a moisturising treatment which is revolutionary due to the fact that the Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is injected “beneath the skin.” It has a prolonged stimulating activity on the collagen and elastin, which also attracts water into the deeper layers of the skin. It has the highest concentration of H.A on the market. It boosts and hydrates the skin and remodels ageing skin.

The preferred regime is to inject the Profhilo into 10 areas of the face over the two visits a month apart. It can be used on the neck and hands as well.

What is Bio-remodelling Treatment?

It is an injectable treatment for skin laxity that uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA). It is a bio remodelling treatment that can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, arm, hands and knees. It can also be used to improve the appearance of scars.

As we age, our bodies produce less Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This can lead to dryness, wrinkles and sagging skin. It is a new injectable treatment that can help to improve the appearance of these signs of ageing.

It is different from other injectables because it is made of a lower molecular weight hyaluronic acid. The lower molecular weight also allows it to be absorbed by the skin more easily, which leads to better results.

What are the benefits?

  • Thermally modified product not genetically modified, i.e Not a dermal filler.
  • Highest concentration of HA on the market
  • Hydrates and moisturises the skin
  • Improves and restores the firmness of the skin
  • Remodels sagging skin in the face and neck area

How does it work?

It is a dermal filler treatment that works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This increase in new collagen and elastin production makes the skin more elastic and firm, and also helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to its firming and anti-ageing effects, It also helps to hydrate the skin by increasing the skin’s ability to retain moisture.

How long does it take?

The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. There are 5 injection points per side. Below is a diagram of these points for the face and for the neck.

Requires 2 visits, one month apart. Review in 5-6 months for further treatment.

What are the effects on the skin?

Bio-remodeller uses hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin. It is a long term solution that will help to improve the overall texture and tone of your skin

What is the best age for this treatment?

There is no definitive answer to this question as everyone ages differently and will have different needs and preferences. However, many experts agree that the best age for Bio-remodeller is 30s, 40s and 50s. This is when most people start to see the first signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

It helps to plump and hydrate the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. If you are younger than 30 or older than 70, you may still be able to benefit.

How long does it last?

Bio-remodelling treatment lasts for around 6 months, and two treatments are recommended start one month apart, though this will vary from person to person. If you have damaged skin you may need 3 or more treatments a month apart before starting the 6 monthly protocol.

What are the risks?

The most common side effect that could occur is bruising or swelling at the injection site. Other side effects might include temporary redness and itching.

In extremely rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as skin necrosis (death of skin cells) or an allergic reaction.

Is the treatment painful?

Most people may feel a slight sting when the needle is injected into the skin. Once the injection sites are marked up topical numbing can be applied to help with any discomfort.

What should you not do after the treatment?

It is important to not massage or manipulate the treated area. This can cause the product to spread outside of the injection area and result in uneven results. It is also important to not expose the treated area to extreme heat or cold, as this can affect the product’s efficacy. Refine from exercise for 48 hours.
